It can often feel a bit strange given that our favorite tv shows are often filmed months in advance of us actually seeing them, so for us we just recently saw the finale for season 6 and expect the cast and crew to be off enjoying a well earned vacation.. But not so..

Today, Hugh Laurie and Lisa Edelstein were spotted on a beach in Malibu, shooting a scene for season 7 of House. Perhaps most surprisingly of all photographers snapped some pictures of Hugh sitting down with a really cute dog.

While many actors usually use the threat of leaving their hit show to increase their salaries, I believe Hugh Laurie may actually just mean it. Afterall for years he’s lamented the fact working in L.A has kept him away from his wife and kids for so long and who can blame him?

Personally I hope Hugh sticks it out for a few more years and Fox rewards him with a bigger salary just to keep the show going, but even I have begun to watch episodes of House and feeling like the show is becoming stale. Don’t get me wrong it’s still very interesting but I would also like to see Hugh Laurie go back to doing comedy as well.

LOS ANGELES — When Hugh Laurie gets an hour off from shooting scenes on his hit Fox drama “House,” he generally stretches out on a couch in his comfortable trailer, though not because he needs a quick nap to recover from playing one of television’s most complicated lead characters. No, Mr. Laurie is taking a break from an even more arduous task: talking American. “You are messing up my afternoon,” Mr. Laurie said pleasantly in his distinguished Oxford English accent. (Distinguished because he was born in Oxford and educated at Eton and Cambridge.)
